On July 27, 2010 in Palo Alto at VMware, the SDForum Cloud SIG presented 9Proof’s CEO Kelly Robertson “Virtual Security: Simulated freedom from risk or danger?” Traditional security tools for stored data will not work in the cloud of constantly moving data. Robertson comes from a world of firewalls and VPN and explained a number of ways virtual networks can be attacked. He advises data encryption so that while a network might be compromised the data on it will not.
