On May 5, 2017 MSNBC reported on the president’s meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. The president said Australia had a better health care system than we do. In Australia, it is called Medicare and is available to all.

Senator Bernie Sanders laughed out loud when he heard Trump’s comment to Turnbull. ‘The President has just said it, that’s great,’ Sanders told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes. ‘Let us move to a medicare for all system that does what every major country on earth does: guarantee health care to all people at a fraction of the cost per capita,’ Sanders said. ‘Thank you Mr. President, we’ll quote you on the floor of the senate.’…”

Nov. 11, 2015 Fast Fooders Fight For Fifteen

On Nov. 10, 2015 in Oakland and across the country, fast food workers demonstrated for a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage. Mary Kay Henry, president of the SEIU encouraged voters to support candidates like New York governor Andrew Cuomo, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Pat Murray, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Congressman Bobby Scott.
