People have been talking about walls a lot these days. I was walking through a poor neighborhood that was being gentrified. Older buildings were being torn down or remodeled. Apparently one of the ways to get permission to rehab a building is to leave at least one old wall standing. I took a picture of a wall that the workers left. It was propped up but still looked like it was about to fall down. The construction workers just went around it. One of them said the rule was silly and that eventually they would have to take it down anyway. Maybe he was right. Sometimes you have to tear down a wall to build something more useful for people on both sides of it. Picture below.
