Last week the Supreme Court struck down laws against same sex marriage in the United States. This is great news but there is still more to be done. There are all sorts of LGBTQ people in the San Francisco Bay Area but some recruiters need to get the memo. A trans candidate got a recruiter email asking if they were a man or a woman. The candidate’s name and picture was not gender specific. Recruiters have to stop asking these kind of questions. There are legal issues, and not in your favor. Also, it should not matter.
