Big 20: Telephones

Twenty years ago there were a few rich people using cell phones the size of bricks, but most people used landlines. If you were not home, an answering machine would take record a message. Doctors and other professionals had pagers, but they still had to get to a phone. The internet allowed millions of people to communicate with mobile devices. Now everyone is available. Ironically, most telecommunication is by text and not by voice. Oh, everyone I knew who had those big old cell phones is dead. Troubling.

BTW: Hot in Phoenix? Los Angeles? Melbourne? :-)
