Why is this job open? Not answering these questions should be a red flag to a candidate. Is it a new position? If not, who was doing it? Can you talk to them about it? Have they left the company? Why does no one inside the company want to do it? If the advertisement is for a client that is out of town, why does no one locally want to work for that company? If it is posted online, why does no one on the planet want to do it?
Another concern is a posting that is either always online or reposted on a regular basis. It indicates serious turnover through burnout or a mismanagement.
