Blank Spoken Here

I’ve been told another job hunt horror story. A large tech company has position is that hard to fill because they want a background in finance, computer science, manufacturing and law. The candidate has all the degrees and experience and studies for the interview. The company¬†executive sets up an thirty minute phone interview and calls fifteen minutes late. They say they can only talk for fifteen minutes and pepper candidate with arcane questions, the last one being if they speak three languages fluently. Until that moment, there was never any mention of a language requirement. Things went downhill from there. Had the candidate known, they would have not wasted their time pursuing the position. Lesson? Detailed job descriptions save everyone time and effort.
