On April 3, 2013 in San Francisco at the Nikko Hotel, The Commonwealth Club hosted US Senator Diane Feinstein. She talked about the current state of gun control legislation. As a survivor of gun violence, Feinstein supports an assault weapons ban. As Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Feinstein wants to restrict sales of drones to other countries and their commercial use in America. Chairing the Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, Feinstein is aware of the effects of climate change. The declining snowfall in the Sierras increases the need to improve the capacity of existing dams. In the end, she talked of her years of service and how she had worked to create a better world for her grandchildren.
