As another sign that the English language is being twisted beyond all recognition, some very nice person visited this site and “favorited” it. This the word the social media company used, not the user. I suspect it is too late to start using the word “favored.”

I’m also not liking the way social media use the word “like.” When news of some natural disaster reaches me, I do not want to “like” the bad news.

So, due to deteriorating usage, liking favoritidism is flatteration but a bad case of awkwardity.
