Room For Improvement

US Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) said some horrible things this week. Sometimes you are just plain wrong, particularly if you use the word “legitimate”. As with most people who say it is all in the spin, he apologized for the way he said something but not what he said.

When someone does something wrong, they need to acknowledge it, apologize and then fix it. They usually say something like none of us perfect, but there is always room for improvement. Make a visible effort.

You may start life in one place but you don’t have to stay there. We grow. We change. We learn. Hopefully we work to become better people. If you never make mistakes then you never learn from them. Maybe you don’t have to apologize for who you are. You should apologize for what you do.

Do you want to be remembered for the worst or best thing you ever did?

Oh, make sure you are registered to vote.
