On December 1, 2007 SDForum’s Barbara Cass retired.

It didn’t matter if they arrived on bicycle or in a limousine, Barbara would welcome them all graciously. She encouraged me to write about a wider range of technology than I thought possible. She inspires people to take chances and build a better future.

I have taken pictures of lots of influential people , but this is the face that launched a thousand companies.

We wish her the best.
