the STC Silicon Valley Chapter hosted Daniel Doornbos to talk about globalization, internationalization, localization, and translation.
Doornbos discussed the larger picture of globalization for technical communicators taking on responsibility for managing localization.
Daniel Doornbos has worked in technical communication for twenty-five years. He has documented everything from farm machinery at Simon and Schuster to video editing and broadcast television products at Avid. He is currently at Promise Technology, developing user documentation for RAID controllers and storage subsystems. He deals with localization of documents and user interfaces everyday.
