Bad Bosses Are Big Business

Marilyn Manning spoke to the Software Engineering Management SIG about handling difficult workplace issues. Imagine. There are so many mismanaged companies that someone actually makes a living pointing it out. I was fascinated when she talked about mutinies, when entire departments go over their manager’s head to complain. In some cases they quit. You have to remember the founders of Fairchild Semiconductor who were called traitors when they formed their own company. I take this as a sign of rebirth in Silicon Valley.
